Some songs are written. Others escape. "Fingerprints" was the second kind.

It was 2023, and I was deep in something I didn't have words for yet...not a relationship...not nothing. Somewhere in the grey space in between is the kind of situation that keeps you up at night replaying conversations, looking for the moment it went sideways. He was playing games. I was trying to make sense of something that was never meant to make sense.

I remember hearing Tiffany Red's "Don't" and feeling it land somewhere specific. not just in my chest, but in my memory. Like the song already knew what I was living. That night, I picked up my phone, hit record, and started to sing.

No mic. no studio. no plan. Just a voice note and the kind of honesty that only comes out when you think nobody's listening.

That recording became "Fingerprints."

I sang about what it feels like when someone gets so far under your skin they leave a mark. Not a wound, not a gift, just a trace. The kind of thing you can't explain and can't erase. You know it's there. You just have to decide what to do with it.
